I watched a movie at a small theater on 5th Avenue in Kitsilano. The film was Perfect Days. It was the first and the last movie I ever watched with him.
That night, I walked home with Pale Blue Eyes by The Velvet Underground playing in my ears.
When a moment with someone leaves a mark so deep that it lingers in your life, the length of time you shared—whether seconds, minutes, or just a handful of days—doesn’t matter.
I completed this piece in Korea.
Listening to that song again, I find myself thinking—just like shadows disappear without light, the emotions I feel now may seem fleeting and insignificant. And yet, like shadows, they will always exist somewhere.
